African American Film Critics Association Announces Broadway Luncheon Honorees

The African American Film Critics Association announced that Tony winner André DeShields, Tony nominee Brandon Dirden, Emmy winner Jasmine Cephas Jones, and Emmy winner Cheryl Wills will be honored at its fifth annual AAFCA Goes to Broadway Luncheon. Variety and Yahoo both reported that the ceremony is scheduled for Monday, October 12, at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in the Theater District of New York. [1][3]

Dirden is best known for playing Martin Luther King Jr. in the Broadway production of All the Way, while Cephas Jones studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and has won both a Grammy Award and an Emmy Award.
