Apple TV Plus confirms Slow Horses seventh season

Radio Times reported that Apple TV Plus has officially renewed the spy thriller Slow Horses for a seventh season, with an eighth season also confirmed to follow. The news follows the broadcast of the season six finale, which ended with a trailer previewing the upcoming seventh season. [1]

The upcoming seventh season will adapt Mick Herron's eighth Slough House novel, titled Bad Actors. Radio Times confirmed that Gary Oldman will return to his role as Jackson Lamb alongside Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, as the narrative addresses the cliffhanger events left at the end of season six. The television series was adapted by English comedian and writer Will Smith from the Slough House books by Mick Herron. The drama centers on an administrative MI5 unit called Slough House, where disgraced or failed intelligence agents are sent to serve under the direction of Jackson Lamb. The ensemble cast includes Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Jonathan Pryce, Rosalind Eleazar, and Christopher Chung. [3][5]

Slow Horses first premiered on Apple TV Plus on 1 April 2022 and aired six seasons through 2026. The production combines elements from Herron's novels with original plot lines, maintaining a 97 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes across its run. [5]
