Singer and television actress Peggy King died on Sunday at the age of 96, Hollywood Reporter TV and Variety TV both report. King died following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease at the Saunders House assisted living facility in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, according to her publicist Alan Eicher. [1][2][4][5]

Hollywood Reporter TV and Variety TV both report that King was a regular performer on The George Gobel Show from 1954 to 1957. Hollywood Reporter TV adds that she co-hosted the Emmy Awards broadcast in 1958. [1][2][7]

King performed in big bands led by Charlie Spivak, Ralph Flanagan, and Ray Anthony, Wikipedia notes.
