Actress Jaime Pressly has defended her Mom co-stars, calling them an incredible cast of women, according to Deadline. Pressly, who portrayed recovering addict Jill Kendall on the CBS television series, made the statements to E! News following comments published in co-creator Chuck Lorre's new memoir, Sitcom. In the book, Lorre wrote that he was right about his initial reluctance to cast Anna Faris as lead character Christy Plunkett. [1][4]
Pressly noted that she was on the show for seven years of its eight-season run, Deadline reported. The public exchange follows statements from Faris, who stated that Lorre's memoir comments were hurtful and caught her off guard, as FTMQ Entertainment reported earlier. Mom aired on CBS from 2013 to 2021 and starred Faris alongside Allison Janney. [1][4][8]
Lorre wrote and executive produced several major network television programs, including The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Young Sheldon, Dharma & Greg, and Mike & Molly, Deadline AwardsLine reported. Reuters reported that Lorre is promoting his memoir, which covers his television career. Deadline AwardsLine added that the book features vanity cards and marked-up pilot scripts from his past projects. [2][3]
