The distributor A24 will mount an Academy Award campaign for You Can See Everything across multiple categories, including Best Picture and Supporting Actress, Variety reported. The nonfiction film opened to a $15 million box office total over its opening weekend, according to Variety. [1]

The documentary was directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, according to reports from Variety and Gold Derby. Fielder and Oppenheim have entered the top ten on Gold Derby's expert leaderboard for Best Director predictions, while BBC News and Gold Derby both reported that the film recorded one of the biggest box office debuts for a documentary. [1][3][4][6]

The film follows Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and her partner Billy Evans, who invited a film crew to document their lives during the 34 days before Holmes began serving a federal prison sentence for fraud. The directors asked early viewers at its Telluride secret screening and showcases in New York and Los Angeles to keep its twist a secret, according to Gold Derby. [1][2][3][12]

Gold Derby reported that the film aims to become the first documentary to earn a Best Picture nomination in the history of the Academy Awards. Gold Derby noted that Naza, a Gaza film directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, remains the current front-runner in its Best Documentary predictions. [3][4]
