Actors Connie Britton, Jesse Plemons, and Adrianne Palicki have appeared in a campaign advertisement supporting Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico, Deadline reported. The television stars released the spot ahead of the candidate's state tour leading up to the election on November 3, 2026. [1][4]
The campaign spot reuses the well known phrase clear eyes, full hearts, can not lose from the high school football drama series, according to Deadline and Chron. The advertisement forms part of the final promotional push for the Democratic nominee in the Lone Star state. [1][4]
Separately, conservative commentator Steven Crowder filed a trademark lawsuit in Fort Worth, Texas, against CNN and Jubilee Media, Deadline TV reported. Crowder claims an October 14 town hall with Talarico infringed on his Change My Mind program format. [2]
Talarico has served as a member of the Texas House of Representatives since 2018. As FTMQ Entertainment reported earlier, country music artist Kacey Musgraves previously hosted Talarico during a concert in Dallas, drawing criticism from political figures. [7][8]
The 2004 sports drama film Friday Night Lights was directed by Peter Berg and based on the 1990 book by H. G. Bissinger. It chronicled a high school football team in Odessa, Texas, attempting to reach the state championship. [5]
