CBS recorded an average of 8.63 million viewers during its fall 2026 premiere week starting October 4, Variety and Paramount Press Express reported. The figure represents a 14 percent increase compared to the network's 2025 premiere week, according to Nielsen live plus seven multiplatform data. Paramount Press Express added that six series drew over 10 million viewers during the period. [1][4]
The returning drama Marshals was the top entertainment show of the week across linear and streaming platforms, reaching 15.14 million viewers, Variety reported. The publication noted that Tracker followed Marshals in the weekly ratings. [1]
Separately, Prime Video saw high viewership for its eight-episode series Carrie, which logged 1.26 billion viewing minutes in the United States between October 5 and October 11 after debuting on October 7, the Hollywood Reporter TV reported. Prime Video has held the top title in Nielsen streaming rankings for six of the past eight weeks, aided by series such as Reacher and Neagley. [2]
The premiere ratings performance follows broader television calendar updates across major broadcast and streaming platforms. Earlier in the year, Paramount Television spy thriller Lioness, created by Taylor Sheridan, launched its third season on August 2, 2026. [5]
