Production designer Patrice Vermette constructed a 55-ton spaceship set for the opening sequence of the upcoming science-fiction feature Dune: Part Three, Variety reported. Vermette stated that the third and final chapter in the franchise will be a major spectacle. [1]

The upcoming film features Timothée Chalamet returning to the role of Paul Atreides, according to Variety. The story continues after the character reached power at the end of the second installment, with the series based on the novels by Frank Herbert. Dune: Part Three is scheduled to open in cinemas on December 18. [1]

Director Denis Villeneuve launched the film trilogy with the 2021 space opera Dune, which he co-wrote alongside Jon Spaihts and Eric Roth. That initial film followed the aristocratic House Atreides as they were thrust into war on an inhospitable desert planet. [2]
