Major League Baseball moved the start times for two playoff games on Thursday due to the threat of rain in Cleveland, Deadline, MLB.com, and Yahoo Sports reported. Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians has been moved ahead to 1 p.m. Eastern Time. The game was originally scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. [1][3][4][6]

The American League Championship Series is currently tied 1-1, according to Deadline. Moving the early game allowed Major League Baseball to shift the start time for Game 4 of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers, Deadline and Yahoo Sports reported. MLB.com confirmed that the National League Championship Series game will now start at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. [1][3][4][6]

The Los Angeles Dodgers enter the contest as back-to-back World Series champions, Deadline reported. The Cleveland Guardians have played their home games at Progressive Field in Cleveland since 1994, and the franchise holds the longest active World Series championship drought in Major League Baseball, dating back to 1948. [1][3][7]

The Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers previously faced each other in the 2018 National League Championship Series. Broadcasters and streaming outlets will adjust coverage for the shifted Thursday schedule across both series, according to The Athletic and Bleacher Report. [2][5][8]
