Prime Video casts lead roles for Fourth Wing and Stillwater series

Prime Video has cast Esther McGregor and Emilio Sakraya as the lead characters in its upcoming television adaptation of Fourth Wing. Deadline TV, Variety TV, and The Hollywood Reporter all report that McGregor will play Violet Sorrengail, while Sakraya will portray Xaden Riorson. The series is based on the bestselling novel by Rebecca Yarros. [2][5][6][7]

Meredith Averill serves as showrunner and executive producer on the Fourth Wing adaptation, according to Deadline TV. The story follows Violet Sorrengail as she is forced to join the Basgiath War College to become a dragon rider, where she encounters the powerful rider Xaden Riorson. In a separate casting update for Prime Video, Lauren Cohan has joined the horror thriller series Stillwater as a series regular. According to TVLine, Stillwater focuses on ex-con Daniel West, played by Hardy, who travels to a town where nobody ages or dies and no one can leave.
